Meeting minutes 13/02/2015
Meeting start at 10:42am

Mike: First
off me, Tom, Bobbi and Catherine went to visit the Daggers Function room.
We discussed
the visit the previous day to the Dagger Function room. We talked about, if
there were plugs, security.
Tom Also reminded
us that yes we would be able to cover the windows to block out light and there
was a bar.
Rob took
lead talking about we should make sure to know the pros and cons of each venue
we look at and also make sure that if we are to exhibit we should look at maybe
having one evening that we put our all into it.
Tom: He found it confusing as where to go to get
into the Daggers Function room and that we’d have to put a lot of posters up.
He liked the hall and the price was the main aspect.
We then
looked at the Anise Gallery and talked about how we could have it for the week,
but again it was also mentioned we could put on one good evening, Tom and myself
liked this idea.
We also discussed
that Daggers Function room wouldn’t see a lot of non-invite visitors.
Advised to
go somewhere where the actually is people.
Looked
through the pricelist that is on the blog for each of the venues we looked at
so far.
Mike also suggested
we look into showing in a central library.
We then
looked at the previous year’s exhibition blog http://animation-exhibition.tumblr.com/
And looked at some of their expenses for van hire, projectors
and TVs
We were also going over Van hire prices that Kini had found
and he said he would look into making sure that the price was correct for the
day and there will be no hidden expenses
Rob also advised about looking into whether we have insurance
to cover in case anything gets broken or stolen.
Cameron enters
at 11:15am
We then decided
on a day to go to visit the anise gallery
Phil wanted
to know about our plan for setting up and taking down the exhibition. Tom
explained our plan.
Cameron gave
us some figures for equipment that he found, prices for projectors and TV
screens.
Phil said we
could show all our experimental on one screen, I also asked if he could make an
animated intro for our exhibition, but due to time he said he wouldn’t be able
to.
Phil said we
definitely need some security to make sure our equipment is safe.
Kini spoke
about if we could screen all our experimental together on one screen and then
we can all screen a smaller individual version on our laptops closer to our
main exhibition.
I said I
would call the people to make an arrangement for a visit and also get our
questions answered.
Kini also
asked about booths and partitions and if they were allowed at the venues. We said
we’d look into it
Phil said
first thing to do is to see the place before we make a decision about a place.
